2026 Long Beach Township Seasonal Beach Badges are for Long Beach Township only. Badges are not required for kids 11 and under. Badges are sold as: Regular Seasonal, Senior Citizen Seasonal and FREE Lifetime Veteran Seasonal.

Note: Long Beach Township badges are not valid in Barnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, Surf City, Ship Bottom or Beach Haven Borough. You can purchase those from their municipal offices.

Senior Seasonal badges can be obtained for $5 w/proof of age (65 and older) at the Badge Office on 68th St in Brant Beach or on the beach from one of the Badge Checkers. Â Senior Badges issued prior to the 2010 (the white badge with red/blue logo) are lifetime badges. Â If these older senior badges are lost or misplaced, new annual badges can be purchased for $5 each for the current season. No replacements.
Lifetime Military Veteran Seasonal badges can be obtained at no cost w/valid military identification (DD-214, etc.) at the badge office on 68th St in Brant Beach or on the beach from one of our Badge Checkers. Active military (and their spouse & kids) are welcome to visit the beaches at no cost, must show active duty ID. Actual ID, photocopy or cell phone pic accepted.
For preseason rate seasonal badges only (not for senior citizen or veteran seasonal badges), mail check or money order by 6/15/26 made out to Township of Long Beach along with the form and self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt to: Â

Barnegat Light offers a Beach Wheel Chair to any patron who has a mobility limiting disability. The chair has wide balloon wheels, and is easily pushed on the sand. The chairs are first-come first-served and reservations required. They are delivered & picked-up. Funded by donations, there is no charge for the use of the chairs. Order Form.

Barnegat Light LBI NJ Badges
Beach Badges are required on all Barnegat Light beaches for all ages 12 and over. Lifeguards are on duty seven days a week from mid-June through Labor Day from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
Guarded beaches: 30th, 27th, 26th, 25th, 22nd, 21st, 19th, 17th, 14th, 12th, 10th, and 25th Bay Beach.

Where to Buy
Purchase at the Borough Hall during “off-season” Mon -Fri, 8am to 3:30pm. During the spring the Badge Booth opens for limited hours. During the season the Badge Booth is open every day from 8am to 3pm and until 6pm on Sat, or badges can be purchased on beach from a Checker. All Veteran & Active Military badges must be obtained from the Badge Booth before going to the beach.
After Nov, Season, Senior & Holiday badges can be ordered by mail at https://barnegatlight.org/forms/. Â All mail orders will be held for pick-up, they will not be mailed.
*At this time the Borough does not have the ability to allow beach patrons to purchase beach badges online or through an app*

Harvey Cedars LBI NJ Badges 2026
Badges required on all beaches beginning 6/15/26 for anyone 12 yr or older. Lifeguards (on duty 10am-5pm)
Guarded beaches: 86th, 83rd, 80th, 77th, 73rd, 69th, Middlesex Ave, Atlantic Ave, Hudson Ave, Cape May Ave, 5417 Blvd, Bergen Ave, Bay Beach.
Hudson Ave is a designated surfing beach

Active Military – Free daily beach admission for active members of the US Armed Services and their families upon the presentation of a valid military status ID card to any badge-checker or Borough personnel.
Veterans – Free daily beach admission for any person who has served in any of the Armed Forces of the US and upon presentation of acceptable proof of honorable discharge to any badge-checker or Borough personnel.
Senior badges for those 65 & over – $12 per season. Seniors must purchase senior badges in person w/identification.

Surf City NJ LBI Beach BadgesÂ
Lifeguards & Badge Checkers are on duty from 10am to 5pm during the summer season. Valid Surf City beach badges are required for all individuals from 12 to 64 years of age whenever lifeguards & badge checkers are on duty.
Guarded beaches (June 14 – Sept 1): South 2nd Street, Division, North 2nd,4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, and 24th. The location of the guarded beach may change from year to year or even week to week, depending on surf conditions and, most notably, the location of sandbars. The Bay Beach between is guarded daily during the season.

Ship Bottom LBI NJ Beach Badges
Badges are required for all individuals 13 yrs. and older. Lifeguards: On duty 10am to 6pm daily in-season. Handicapped accessible walkovers can be found on 15th and 20th Street beaches, 4th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 29th, 21st, and 25th Streets. For Beach Wheelchairs, call Ship Bottom Beach Patrol at 609-494-9481 to reserve.

Beach Haven Borough LBI NJ Beach Badges
Badges required for those 12 yrs and older. Badges are required every day, except Wednesday.
Guarded beaches: 12th, Taylor Ave, 5th , 2nd , Centre Street, Engleside Ave, Pearl Street, Belvoir Ave, Essex Ave, Liberty Ave, Kentford Ave. Handicapped Beach Access: Fifth, Centre Street, Pearl Street
Surfing is permitted while lifeguards are on duty, within designated areas marked by quartered black and white flags
